We're with you on this hellish journey - our second decade

No such thing as ‘relapse’ in self-injury recovery (audio)

We’re having a discussion on our Support Forum about whether the word ‘relapse’ is appropriate for all the times we revert to self-injury while we’re working to move away from SI.

We're with you on this hellish journey - our second decadeHave a listen to my four minute audio message for some ideas.

This is a really powerful message wedge. i really appreciate it. its a very true thing you say about the shame cycle stealing all the hours/days we gone without self injuring and that if we dont allow ourselves to get into that shame cycle, by renaming what just happened as a slip or a glitch then we can be less hard on ourselves, not think we undone all our hard work but be able to carry on hour by hour, day by day trying to resist the urge to self injure.

    thanks wedge.
