Exam Results and College / Uni
Just a quick ‘hello and wave’ to anyone who’s worried about starting at College or University, or thinking about looking for a vocational course, or indeed, plunging into the the job market!
It’s that time of year when thousands of people reflect on their exam results, and think about what they want to do with the next few years of their lives.
There are lots of things you could be doing, you might take a year out, and go travelling or get some work experience; the possibilities are endless. Many people will not be going on to any further education, and so one’s thoughts turn to wages and rent!
For those of you who are starting college shortly, all the best with your studies, and I hope you make some brilliant friends.
For those starting Uni, all the best with your studies, I know you’ll make some fantastic life-long friends in your first-year, but try to keep in touch with your ‘back home’ friends, wherever they get to. Oh, and don’t party too hard, it’s OK to say ‘no’ to people and stay in :) Freshers can wear themselves (and their bank balances) out in a matter of weeks without care!
Remember, what ever you choose, and however life turns out in 2008, don’t put too much pressure on yourself – nobody created a wonderful, perfect life for themselves in one year – education has not made anyone perfectly happy – only you can choose to seek health and happiness – exam results, education, your first job – these are just little parts of your life.
Take care of you,
