Conference: Understanding and Responding to the Needs of Young People Who Self Harm

LifeSIGNS has been invited to lead an ‘interactive discussion’ entitled “Practical Issues in Supporting and Caring for Young People Who Self Harm”.

I hope to tackle the subjects of: Accepting self-harm as a coping mechanism; Empowering young people; Confidentiallity; No single solution; and the need to treat the person, not the syndrome.
