Feature in BBC documentary – life after self-injury

BBC NewsRuth is thinking about making a documentary for BBC News about hiding scars and ‘life after self-injury’.

Ruth would like to talk to you if you’ve moved away from self-injury and consider yourself in recovery.

If, after talking to Ruth, you feel good about appearing on TV, Ruth will select some people to take part in the documentary.

As a participant, you’ll be taken to a London cover-up specialist, where you’ll learn how to cover up your scars with skin-toned make-up.

And just to be clear, the camouflage make-up is for men, women, and everyone. This isn’t about using foundation – this is custom camouflage make-up for scars, marks, and tattoos.

No, you don’t have to give your real name!

Ruth is looking people of any age to take part, and will pay your travel expenses. Please email us before the 12th of August.

If you would like to learn more, please email hello@lifesigns.org.uk with your phone number and two sentences about your past self-injury and your recovery and life now.
