LifeSIGNS on national radio AND TV!

Following today’s interview with Radio One’s Helen Neill on the Bradford self-harm clinic, I agreed that Helen could pass my details on to other various BBC radio reporters. Little did I know of the mad rush that would follow as the media-frenzy on the issues surrounding SI reached a new high!

After numerous occasions of running out of lectures and seminars to answer my mobile (which didn’t impress my tutors!), I have managed to secure 3 radio interviews and 1 TV interview, all to be broadcast tomorrow!

BBC Asian Network
This will be a chat show, but impressively, SI has made it onto their main daily feature! It will stem from the issues rising from the Bradford scheme and deal with the surrounding issues for SI. I’ll be talking about both my personal experience of SI and the work and activities that LifeSIGNS has to offer.
This will go out live at 9.00am

Following this will be an interview by reporter Danny Savage. This one is going to be pre-recorded and is a short one covering the reactions from the Bradfrod clinic. I’ll let you know when it will be broadcast.

BBC One 1 o’clock News
Danny Savage also wants to do a TV interview, which will be pre-recorded in the morning and if all goes to plan, shall appear in the lunchtime news!

Radio Five Live
Another live interview – this time a live phone in! I’ve agreed to answer questions from both the presenters and the listeners.
This be on air between 11am-12 noon on the Victoria Derbyshire show on 909 fm & 693 am

So hopefully I shall provide honest and insightful answers to the questions and raise awareness that SI is something that happens and needs an increasing awareness.
