24:7 Samaritans National Fundraising and Awareness Raising Day

Next Monday the Samaritans are holding a fundraising and awareness day, called 24:7 (highlighting the fact that they provide a 24 hour service, 7 days a week!

Many LifeSIGNS members will have had experience of the Samaritans, and we all recognise its vital contribution to society.

Of course, it’s got me back to thinking about SIAD! We have just over 7 months to organise events for the biggest and best SIAD yet! Now that we are a charity fundraising should be easier and donations can be gift aided! I know March 1st might seem a long way off, but maybe it’s a chance to think about some of the things you might like to do to help LifeSIGNS raise money (a sponsored walk or pub crawl, an awareness raising coffee morning in your local parish hall, a stall at your university, college or workplace), the possibilities are endless! In a few years, who knows, maybe we’ll be able to give out fundraising packs like those for 24:7!
