Summer meet-up reminder

This is a reminder that you’re all invited to our real life summer meet-up this month in Birmingham, UK. bmag-entrance

We’ll be meeting from 12pm until 3pm on Saturday 20th July at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, which is in the city centre.

We’ll be chatting in the Edwardian Tea Room until about 12.30pm, after which we’ll wander around the museum and gallery, returning to the Tea Room at about 2.30pm for another chat.

Our meet-ups are a great opportunity for you to meet the people who run LifeSIGNS. Wedge and I will be there, along with some of our Managers – the people who work so hard to help keep LifeSIGNS running. You’ll also get to meet some of your fellow supporters / members.

It will be a friendly, light-hearted event, and we won’t be discussing anything heavy. This is perhaps the one day of the year when LifeSIGNS won’t be talking about self-injury. Self-harm doesn’t define us as people; it’s just a tiny part of who we are, and our meet-ups are about everything else about us. We all have full and varied lives, and we’re all unqiue individuals. Our meet-ups are chance to chat about anything and everything else :)

We understand that it can be a real challenge to travel and meet new people, so you’re welcome to bring a friend or two for some moral support. We very much appreciate that people make such an effort to attend our real-life events, and we really enjoy meeting the people that LifeSIGNS is all about – you.

If you can’t come for the whole three hours, then you’re welcome to pop in at any time and to stay for as little or long as you wish.

If you’d like to join us, please RSVP either on our Facebook Event, via our Meet-up Event, or by emailing Jules@lifesigns.org.uk. You’re also welcome to email Jules if you have any questions about the meet-up.

Although it’s helpful to have some idea of numbers, if you decide on the day itself that you’d like to come but haven’t RSVPd, don’t worry. You’ll still be more than welcome to simply turn up on the day.

We hope to see you on 20th July.

Jules
