Self-injury awareness day is an international event occurring annually on 1st March. The last week of February is crucial to the success of SIAD, so thank you to all our members and everybody who is raising awareness.

There’s still a couple of days to go, so it’s not too late to get involved. They’ll be loads of things happening around the world this weekend, and no doubt throughout March too!

Why not take a look at our SIAD page and see what you can do to help. Wedge has created some fantastic posters for us this year, and they’re easy to download and print.
We offer:
A generic letter for you to customise – great for sending to MPs, Doctors, Teachers, Magazines,Local Newspapers and Radio Stations;
Posters for you to print on and stick up around your office or school / college / uni;
Factsheets for Family Members, Teachers, Friends, Guys and Health Care Workers – slip one under the doors of your Headteacher and Doctor.

Join our Facebook event – you don’t have to go anywhere or do anything – just confirm your virtual attendance as a show of support for SIAD and FirstSigns.

Take part in the SIAD forum on our Message Board and let us know what you’ve been doing to raise awareness.

And of course, as always, we’re selling awareness wristbands and keyrings. They’re easy to order and we post them out super fast. Thank you to everyone who has already purchased them; we’ve had a terrific response and all money directly helps us raise awareness about self-injury. We’re a non-profit voluntary organisation, we’re ‘unfunded’ and running on a tiny budget, so your donations and purchases keep us going – thank you so much.
