After months of planning I’m very excited that our lovely FirstSigns 2010 Calendar has finally gone to print! It’s been a complicated journey trying to get everything just right (I’m a terrible perfectionist and I wanted to ensure we had a product to be proud of). Well, I am proud, and I hope that a great many of you will support us by purchasing one :)

Calendars are a first for FirstSigns, and it’s just the beginning of an exciting New Year for us. Wedge and I have both worked incredibly hard writing our book (and we still are working hard getting it perfect of course!) so we hope you’ll all continue to support us as we venture forth into 2010. Everything we do, and every hour of our time that we give working and raising awareness about self-injury is for you, our dear members.

Our calendar has been made possible by the generous donation of photographs from our members and supporters, and now we hope you’ll be generous enough to buy our professionally designed and printed calendar.

While sales of our calendar will raise much needed funds to help us raise awareness about self-injury, the actual calendar doesn’t really mention ‘self-injury’ except on March the 1st (Self-Injury Awareness Day) and of course our web address of www.FirstSigns.org.uk is shown proudly.

No, we don’t guarantee postage by New Year! If you buy now, we’re sure you?ll receive your calendar through the post in January, but we can’t make any guarantees about New Year – we’re a small, unfunded organisation run by people who volunteer their time – and we rely on Royal Mail and the Post Office!

We’re really proud to be able to bring you this professionally designed and printed A4 card calendar; it looks great on the wall and you’ll have a little piece of FirstSigns with you every day through the year.

All money raised goes directly towards furthering our awareness projects, like our training, our book and our website. Thank you for your support.

Many thanks to everyone who sent us pictures. Unfortunately, due to the number we received (and the restrictions of the printers) we were unable to use them all for the calendar. But fear not, your super pictures won’t go to waste as we will be keeping them and using them within other FirstSigns projects throughout the year.

Thank you also  to Wedge who has worked extremely hard using his technical skills that I sadly don’t possess myself! We couldn’t have made this calendar happen without his expertise and time.
