“We become what we do often.”
LifeSIGNS’ ‘Little Book of Five a Days’ is a simple eBook (PDF document), and can be viewed on your computer or mobile device. It was created with the idea that when you’re in need of some inspiration or encouragement, whether you’re in a happy place or sad place in life, the Little Book is at hand with some ideas to help.
It’s of particular interest if you’re looking to make progress in life, or if you are looking to enhance your overall well-being.
Each page is written by a different LifeSIGNS volunteer; we wanted to share some ideas of things you can do to help cope with day to day life, because we know how hard the struggle can be, especially when it comes to anxiety, depression, and of course self-injury.
Each LifeSIGNS volunteer wrote five bullet points of things to do or ways of thinking:
- ‘Five a day for mental health’ – by Emmie
- ‘Five a day for progress’ – by Lauren
- ‘Five a day for fulfillment’ – by Laura
- ‘Five a day for contentment’ – by Ash
- ‘Five a day for inner peace’ – by Jules
- ‘Five a day for confidence’ – by Wedge
So, flick through our little book and see if there are some ideas that inspire you, or that you can adapt and make work for you every day.
You are free to share our eBook as you like, but please don’t copy our words, just share the whole file (or, even better, the web page with the file!) with your friends and contacts.
We are recruiting for a new Director to join our team! We would love to hear from you if you have personal experience of self-injury, are passionate about the work LifeSIGNS does, and would enjoy volunteering your time and experience to help direct our charitable organisation into the future. If you’re interested, please visit our recruitment page for full details including role specification, requirements, and how to apply. We hope to hear from you.
