Local doctors see increase in self-mutilation – PittsburghLIVE.com This US article notes that SI occurence could be of a similar magnitutude as Eating Disorders. They do use the term ‘mutilation’ and end with “Self-injury, is a cry for help” but apart from that you might care to read it.
