Our refreshed new Support Forum is now open and ready to support you.
We closed down our old message board a month ago to give us time to reassess the needs of our members and how we might best provide community support and guidance for people in emotional distress and struggling with self-injury.
Our new forums are sleeker, faster and simpler to use. Our rules have been simplified to make them easy to understand and follow, while still maintaining our high standards for the safety and wellbeing of our members.
It’s been fantastic to see some of our well-known members returning so quickly, and we’ve also been busy activating several new accounts over the last 18 hours.
So if you were a member of our old message board, do log in in to the new Support Forum and let us know what you think and how you’ve been feeling, or ask us a question. And if you’re not yet a member, but would like a place to talk about the things going on in your life, a place to release some of your emotions and gain friendly, non-judgmental support, then please do join. We have a secure account activation system in place to protect us from spammers, and new accounts are activated within 48 hours, usually much faster.
As with every aspect of FirstSigns, our Support Forum is very much pro-recovery. We aim to support people as they deal with the difficult situations in their lives, while providing encouragement and resources to enable them to choose healthier coping mechanisms and to seek health and happiness in their lives.
So whether you’re struggling with self-injury yourself, or care about someone who’s hurting themselves and have questions you’d like to ask, we hope to see you on our Support Forum soon.
